Kejuan Harvey grew up in Elgin, IL, where he was a two-time varsity letterman in baseball and served as team captain during his senior season. He earned All-Conference Honorable Mention honors in both his junior and senior years before continuing his baseball career at Lakeland University. He played for four years at Lakeland, was the starting catcher in his junior and senior seasons, and was named captain in his senior year..

In 2023, Harvey graduated from Lakeland University with a Bachelor of Arts in Sports Management & Leadership, with an emphasis in coaching. He then returned to Lakeland to pursue a Master of Science in Leadership and Organizational Development and is set to graduate in May 2025.
